I have a newborn and I would like a way to secure my HD SBR and carry handguns in my bedroom. I'm shopping for a between-the-studs safe. Intent is to keep them away from small hands first, and away from thieves second. Safes run from $110 VEVOR garbage to $700 V-Line. I'd like something reasonable, and the $360 Hornady SnapSafe is an example I'm currently looking at. Does anyone have any recommendations for an in-wall safe? I would store two handguns and one 27" SBR. I will be buying a can so the SBR will be 33" or so. I'm not too concerned with the safes defenses, unfortunately. It could be made with 1/4" AR500 and a thief would still only need 30 seconds with a dull sawzall blade to cut the studs and walk out with it. I have a real safe in the basement. I will be covering the safe with a hinged mirror or something for additional security as well. |

I had one of these I put in a bedroom closet. Mine was key lock. I put a big "high voltage" sticker on it. Keeping Kids out was my concern and I don't think they ever knew it was a gun cabinet. |
| V-Line is expensive but worth it! I used a small one under my desk at work for 20 years (It was used every work days for the 20 years and was, in and out often several times a day. literally opened thousands of times!) and another 20 years when I retired. Functions now just as it did when new. I have one in a bedroom closet for a shotgun. That one for 25 years. No batteries to go dead or corrode. Buy once cry once! |
So... I find comfort in the fact that if Trump has to work so hard to go to Heaven, then there is a shit load of Democrats that have no f-cking chance to go anywhere but HELL.

I have the rifle length V-Line. Excellent safe/cabinet. No batteries, but still push button. I have mine on an exterior upstairs wall. It’s also in a tight closet that would make it difficult to pry. I’d say it’s as good as a box store large safe security wise. Most criminals and kids aren’t getting in it without spending some time on it. If someone with real tools showed up, it wouldn’t last long. But I only have three guns in it. |
| My wife and I are breaking ground on a new house soon. I have made my mind up on the Vline between the studs rifle safe for the master closet and I’m trying to sort out the best way to keep a pistol in the nightstand, considering a stopbox that is screwed down inside the nightstand drawer but haven’t settled on that yet. |
