I've been mulling over an intregrally-suppressed AOW project that is detailed here: https://ar15.com/forums/armory/Suppressed-bicycle-pump-gun-from-the-movie-Munich/55-561174/&page=1&anc=6263515#i6263515 This will be a gun with a tube encapsulating the baffles, barrel, and most of the firing mechanism. At the present time, I am envisioning a stack of M baffles slid into the tube, followed by a non-attached barrel, followed by a nesting tube that will house the firing mechanism, and that all held together with a rear cap. Just a simple diagram for example purposes: ------------------------ >>[ A | B | BS ] ------------------------ A= Action 3 inches B= Barrel 3 inches BS= baffle stack 6 inches >>= Trigger (for lack of a better word) 2 inches Total length of tube= 12 inches Overall length = 14 inches So, my question is what do I put on the AOW form 1 for barrel length? Would it be the 3 inch length of actual barrel, the 9 inch length of barrel + integral suppressor, of the 12 inch total tube length? And what do I put on the silencer form 1 for the length of the suppressor? Would it be the 6 inch length of the baffle stack, or the 12 inch total tube length? TIA! |

Is the suppressor or baffle stack permanently attached to the barrel? If so, it's added on. If it can be removed, it's not counted. |
