I bought the D cell forming die- thanks grey market research! I bought the Sealed Power 381-3179 What size arbor press do i need to press these out? Thanks in advance! |

If it were me and I had the room the 12 ton harbor freight hydraulic press would be my choice. Yes it can damage the die if you're overzealous. Probably not faster since it uses basically a bottle jack but a lot easier. I have a video about making the baffles and he's using what looks like a 8 inch bench vise and advises against a hyd press. Arbor press i would get the biggest i could afford. I had a 3 tom at work and it sucked for forming things. Someone had put a much longer than factory handle on it. |
