some accounts state that you can use  ar triggers in the acr.  Just need to use the acr hammer spring or bend a ar one to fit.   True?  I'd love to drop in a flat faced if possible

Think you need a trigger jig specific to the ACR to hold the AR trigger & hammer.  Maybe able to 3-D print.

Use the factory hammer spring with any trigger you want. I have a RR National Match trigger in my ACR.

Been running a RRA Match trigger in mine since 2008.

I've had an SSA in mine since 2013. Just use the ACR hammer spring.

I also use an RRA Match trigger in my coyote ACR.

I ended up bending the RRA spring to match the dogleg in the factory one.  Not hard.

Now, putting the entire thing back together was an exercise in frustration.

Do you think something like a Geissele National Match trigger would also work in the ACR?

I have a Geissele SD-E in my acr. Trigger swap is pretty easy.

why does Geissele make a specific ACR trigger that has to re-use the factory hammer spring if other versions work?  What's different about their ACR trigger than other Geissele options?

Marketing. Reuse the OEM hammer spring and any non-drop-in AR trigger will fit.

* Almost any.  The Larue MBT is too tall on the tail of the trigger.

It's the same as their AR trigger, they just don't include a hammer spring and tell you to re-use the original one.

When they say "most AR triggers" they mostly mean you can't use the ones that come in their own little drop in box.

I think early ACRs were not fully compatible with AR15 triggers.
My understanding is that Freedom Group fixed that.

All ACRs are ar15 trigger compatible. The only difference is the bend in the hammer spring leg. Even the Masada, in prototype form, which predates the ACR used an AR trigger.
