Anyone ever have the upper and lower done in NP/NT type finish? I know there is now a successor to Robar that is offering this service... In the past I have had several firearms done in the Robar finish including a complete 300 win mag bolt gun and it has proven to be quite durable. This would be for a range/match gun. Robbie sold off "Robar" to a company called Coating Technology Inc, and they don't deal with individual consumers. Wright Armory in AZ developed their own process called NT7 and has a plating production line in-house. They did an HK USP optic cut for me (they call it i-DOT), and I had them plate the slide and pistol internals in their NT7+ coating. They did a fantastic job, highly recommend. I've got a couple of AR-15 BCG's in the mail to them right now; they are currently having a Labor Day sale on their NT7 coatings. I don't have a photo handy, but Wright Armory has tons of photos on their Instagram. |
