I was looking at my M2 Carbine - It is an early Universal with GI parts converted to M2 in the 1960s. Its odd but looks a fun and reliable select fire gun. I love my Ruger Minis with side folders and was looking at the Samson stock and think the Samson stock (particularly a 10-22 stock) would accommodate some modification (a bit of work to machine out the right spaces) to fit an M1/M2 carbine action and stock lug. I don't have a Samson 10-22 stock just some mini-14s but have some regular 10-22 stocks and looking at them it looks like it could work easy enough. Perhaps someone has done this already? Yes - a crazy idea - always looking for a way to dress up the M2 with different stocks and I have 4 different carbine stocks but think the side folder would be perhaps nice. especially with a shortened barrel. |
| Don't know if you had heard about these, but Sage makes an M1 Stock that you might be able to modify to an M2. |
If you own M&P40 Ser. CPD1915 I will trade you a new M&P40 M2 for it. It belonged to a friend of mind who is deceased.
