Friend of a friend looking for a dimension on a Knights SR-15. He’s making rails and needs to know the height above bore on the gas block to know if the rail will clear it and I guess is having problems getting an answer from anybody. Appreciate any info you can provide in advance |

Appreciate any info you can provide in advance Do his customers know the dimensions are coming from random dudes on the internet? I’m assuming you’re asking about a Mod 2 gas system. My calipers tell me the distance from bore centerline to the underside of the top rail section is 1.04 inches. Does your buddy have a SR-15 to live fire test his rails and make sure the gas block has enough room to whip? There aren’t a ton of loose Mod 2 barrels/gas systems laying around. He should reach out to KAC or a shop that does KAC work such as D Wilson or NS Armory. |
