But it sure is interesting how good some barretts do Yeah that was me on the Texas plinking 1 MOA challenge. I really lucked out with my M107A1. I think I lucked out with the shooting as well. Second round hit on the 10 inch plate at 1K yards and then immediate first round hit on the 5 inch plate at the same distance. Wind was crazy that day! Ammo I was using for the challenge and zeroing was 30 year old PMC Ball. Anyway here is a target after I shot 3 rounds for zeroing. My wife actually shot the 5 shot clover leaf group and I told her don't shoot the 6th since I wanted to post the pic to ARFCOM but she she shot the 6th and pulled it a bit LOL!

So many people act like m107 is 10moa and bfg is sub moa. In reality they're pretty close (bfg will obviously do better groups but not THAT much better. It's pretty negligible for what these rifles are. Neither one is a precision rifle. Both are meant for messing around and having fun. Both have barn door accuracy. It's hilarious how many people act like the bfg is an intervention or something. |

Sure, somebody may get a great unit that is consistent but that was not the case for me. My Serbu Shoots far better than my 107 ever did. Im getting better groups with the Serbu and PMC than I did shooting Amax with the Barrett. I can't abide a $12.5K dollar rifle that shoots that poorly. The Serbu was $4500 less, almost six pounds lighter, softer shooting, and a MUCH better trigger. Barrett is great if you don't mind spending more for less of basically everything. |
