Curious if anyones had experience with this lock and if you've ever had a service call for an accelerator spring failure? I installed my own 3yrs ago and its been fine. I do however get nervous about its operation and what I consider its weak point: the accelerator spring and spring hook stud, here: Attached File The width of the accelerator spring is roughly .1" maybe less. When testing the operation per instructions, only half the width of that spring ever caught the spring hook stud. It was consistant, but still never got more than half the width of the spring to land. That didnt seem right but it was consistant and didnt fail to land, so I closed the cover and used it. Ordered 2, one for my other safe. The second one for some reason was defective and would inconsistantly fail. The cam wheel roller wouldnt load the spring to the spring hook stud. There was to much play in the lever assembly and the screwdriver slot on the lever screw was stripped.....like someone at the factory was drunk. Didnt install that second lock but the fact it failed has me nervous about the first one.
