ETA appears to be an imbel kit on a LMT/DSA receiver and probably IWD furniture. Picked this up in a lot of guns I bought and thought it was neat with ironwood furniture but it has some age on the inside and I don’t think it’s IWD furniture. It could be old G handguards but the rest of the gun seems to have been sanitized. It could be IWD but I doubts based off another set I have. Also, whoever built it cared about 922r as it has all the merican parts you would expect. It’s built on an older DSA receiver that is one of the LMT units. Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I bought one that was an stg58 built on an Imbel. Had that same wood, even a wood grip. Wood stock was pretty hard on my cheek. It came with a box of parts, including the plastic stock. I put the stg forend back on too. Swapped stocks after this trip. Plastic did not smack me around. I assumed it was aftermarket wood. Attached File |

I don't see any evidence of Cuban parts on it ...... Can't tell you about the buttstock origin , but the figuring is similar to some of the NOS Izzy LB buttstocks that were floating around. Pics of the ferrules inside the handguard might tell their origin. Lower is a Type 3 ..... proper Cuban contract would be a Type 1 or 2, with a vertical takedown lever. Cuban FH would be the long type, made for the Type "B" bayonet. You have a standard Combo device. Looks like an ironwood stock set on maybe an Imbel kit. A cuban would have the long browning flashhider and a type one lower. Here is my Cuban build with an Ironwood stock set. (original wood was in poor condition.) Attached File tion). |
