Looking for a good solution for shotgun training. I prefer the look/feel of dummy rounds (like the Fiocchi ones) but I wasn't sure if there was a reason to choose snap caps over those. I've had issues with snap caps shedding metal shavings off in other non-shotgun guns. Open to other options/thoughts too. The Fiocchi dummy rounds are nice but do not have a spring-loaded primer/striking surface to cushion the firing pin if you dry fire. I have some of these I use for testing magazine extension and cycling without dry firing. I bought some cheap ones off Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FHKBN7CB? Yellow, weighted, with what looks like a hard steel base, with a chunk of rubber in the primer pocket and it comes with extra rubber to replace it. I bought a new shotgun and immediately came down with the flu, but loading and dry firing these in the living room. |
