| Is it not possible to make a spring loaded version so the top cover can be closed on a belt with the bolt forward? Just seems like it would be a nice option to have. Or possibly a button on the outside of the top cover to push the rail over so it would line up with the feed stud? |

The button is an interesting idea. The other thought i had, was if a cam lever like an RPD would work. The cam path widens out at the front so that the feed stud can ride in it. Ive been thinking of 3d printing one just to test functionality, but don't really have the time
