I picked up a few hundred rounds of this (I believe de-linked) LC 20 head stamp ammo. Many of the case necks have what looks like a fold. I haven't seen this before. Any ideas if it's normal and is it safe to shoot?
I have a Barrett M107A1 in case that matters.

That is odd. I have never seen that before on factory new ammo.
I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

That would worry me a bit.  Don't think I'd fire them in my rifle or next to my face.

Looks like hydraulic damage from case lube during sizing during reloading.

Thats extreme. No chance I'd risk shooting it.

Although not what I would consider 1st quality ammo, I have shot hundreds of these in 7.62x54R.

Albanian ammo was bad for this.

I wouldn't pay first quality price but I highly doubt they are dangerous to shoot.

I contacted the person who sold them to me, out of the 300+ rounds I found 31 like these. He’s going to replace them all, so good outcome.

I bought a can of factory LC APIT 2019 HS IIRC from a reputable source (SG), out of the 150 in the can 5 had the fold in the neck. No chance I’m putting them through my M107A1.

Its just a wrinkle in the brass, not a crack or a hole.

It goes bang just like it should.

Would I take that brass to the World Championships in NM and expect to win?  Nope.  It is good enough to shoot minute of car door and dirt clod.
