After seeing a few guys turn an airsoft M203 into a short range black powder firing shotgun, has anyone ever thought of developing a tough, yet frangible on impact Taginn round, loaded with an irritant powder, such as reaper pepper powder? Might be good for dispersing a crowd of bandits. I think it may be an interesting concept to explore, given past successes with the OEG mount and the Hush Puppy. |
I suggest we trade a question mark in for a maybe.

| Pretty sure it would have to be registered as a DD for a job like that. What saves the shotgun conversions is blackpowder and no fixed ammo. Going theough NFA headaches you miggt as well get a real one. |

What does this or any of your other threads have to do with retro AR15/m16s? You seem to be posting all over to get a footprint established, like another new member in the AR15 forum who posted 10 year old posts verbatim. Also pushing into the illegal realms of things. Mighty spry for a 2x MI and stroke patient. Awfully suspicious. |

Sounds like a good way to piss off a hoard of bandits - A normal 12 gauge is better and can fire such rounds over the counter. |

If your looking for a platform for launching a pepper spray or powder why not just buy the pepper balls that fire from a paintball marker? Check out ANS gear they sell all sorts of riot control pepper balls and non lethal stuff. |

You can buy or print your own chalk capsules for 37mm, fill them with marking chalk that you use for chalk lines (you can buy the big jugs at Lowe's HD, etc), but once you start using them for anything other than signaling, especially if it can be considered offensive in any way, you're jumping into DD territory. Even though there are some very well made airsoft guns out there, there is also zero way I'd trust an airsoft toy with a black powder round even though they are low pressure (if done correctly). If you want OC powder projectiles you can buy them for paintball guns but they're expensive. Apparently you can also load your own pepper balls, but I have almost no experience with any sort of paintball equipment. Aerosol OC "grenades" are also legally available in different sizes; they're like an insect fogger, push down the tab and immediately toss it. Just buy a 40mm and register it. |
