I’ll try to keep this short. Wolf Gold 55 grn. Aug and Colt had AimPoint Pros. Galil Vortex Spitfire 3x . Gen 2 I think. Shot at 100 yards. 10 round groups . Shot with a front rest. Shouldered the rear. 5 seconds between shots. Also sweat in eyes. My first Aug group was tainted. The lighter feeling trigger had me pull a couple. I shot the Aug 3 separate times. The other two rifles just once. The second time I shot AUG I clicked the dot brightness up one. It gave me a little star burst. I also had the worst group like that . So I shot it one more time with it lowered to a tiny dot . No star burst. In the end it finished like I thought it would. Colt , Aug , Galil. In fairness I only shot the Colt once. Colt has a Larue 2S trigger. Nothing scientific. Just having fun. Colts spread was about 3”. Aug was 3 1/4 . Galil was 4-41/4 with a 3x. It did tell me I want to put an Acog on the Aug. Good Data and appreciate the 10 shot group! Note, you may want to wait a bit more than 5 seconds between shots for grouping, as well. 5 Seconds isn't enough to really reduce heat buildup in the barrel to reduce Point of Aim Shift. Also a front and rear rest really helps out. |

Laid it in my v block front rest. For my best results, I found grip down and untouched, and gun resting on main pistol grip on a small bag, with support hand on rear stock bottom, worked best for me. I have found that folded grips (and bipods) can bounce and throw shots. Or I just am seeing something not there, but thats how it seems to work for me. |
