| I have a full size AP5, works very well with fmj's, With the FRT and without. Gold dots and HST's no matter the grain fail to load. Any recommendations for a defensive round that you have had luck with cycling? |
| I had the same issue and swapped out the magazine catch for an HK part (part # 214858). Measuring the original AP5 and HK parts found the AP5 mag catch was slightly undersized in several dimensions. With the HK mag catch installed, my AP5 cycled HSTs, Gold Dots, and Federal Syntech without issue. Just the little difference in mag height appears to have made the difference. |

Hornady did terrible in my AP5's. I had the exact same thought, and figured that would be a perfect match for these things due to the aggressive taper of the bullet. Did not work well for me. I genuinely tried everything I could get my hands on, and Fiochhi was the only one that ran perfectly. |

Unfortunately I can't find a single place that has these in stock. I'll keep my eyes open. I'd love to get these things to run gold dots. |
