ACR barrel v. AR15 barrel?

Besides the obvious quick attach hardware and piston, what is the difference in the barrel and barrel extension between the platforms?

They are pretty much the same minus the gas port and piston support area. You can use Acr barrels on an ar or the other way around

Yep, I had Nefarious Arms put a 14.5" (pinned to 16.3") Daniel Defense Lightweight CHF Chrome lined 1:7 twist barrel on my ACR with a pinned MAMs. He also put his gas system on it. Runs like a raped ape.
