I have an older DSA FAL Para (with an LMT receiver) that I would like to use with an ACOG TA-11 with a red chevron reticle. I do not care for the excessive height of the stock ACOG mount and top cover so that configuration was a no-go for me. Last night I discovered that DSA makes an ACOG direct mount rail that reduces the height of the sight on the FAL and I'd like to know if any of you have tried this set up and if so how did it work out for you? @KILLERB6 Thanks for that YouTube video. It looks like the height of the ACOG wasn't excessive, I'll buy one of the DSA ACOG mounts this weekend, thanks. |

I received the DSA Para ACOG mount today. After carefully measuring everything the ACOG will only sit 7mm lower that it currently does with the OEM ACOG mount; that is not low enough to justify spending $169.95 so I will return it to DSA. The mount is also not machined as deep as it appears in the pic above and on their website. The DSA ACOG mount I received today: Attached File |
