| The only mags I’ve ever ran through my Hk33 are factory steel 30 rounders and the aluminum 40s… it has always been too tight with any of the other poly mags that I’ve tried. Got some of the AC Unity mags recently to try and very pleasantly surprised to say that they lock up EXACTLY the same as my factory HK mags and feed and cycle beautifully. They look and feel very similar to the windowed Pmags as well. |

| “Wildhorseammunition”.com I had never heard of them so I called them, got an actual person that said they had them in stock etc etc. They’re out of St Louis about 300 miles from me and I got the mags in 2 days. Nicely packaged, couldn’t be happier. As far as poly mags go, my 33 tends to have a tighter mag well than most which is why I’ve always used the factory HK mags. These lock up exactly the same in my rifle so I don’t think they’re oversized at all. |

Going to bump the thread - I went ahead and placed an order for some, as well as more of the ACU Gen3 AK-74/AK-12 mags since they had a pretty good deal on an 8-pack that also puts free shipping on the order. The box arrived today, so I can confirm Wild Horse is legit, exists, and has the magazines.  I have been waiting and watching and pestering RobertRTG.com about them but they disappeared from their website a couple months ago. Not sure if they lost their exclusive importer agreement or what, since ACU stuff is popping up in more places.As the magazines go themselves, they look and feel like typical AC-Unity quality mags with the ACU design language. They are marked HK33 HK53 HK93 at the top and Gen.2 on the bottom. Weird number choices for the round counts on both sides with the window, but I guess I like the more granular option to see what's left in the mag. Thick metal tab implanted in the polymer above the mag catch groove, I really like this as it makes for a very solid lock up and won't wear like the all-plastic of the Promag version. You could probably file the underside of the tab if you needed to adjust the positioning of the mag. I really like the design a lot. I haven't had time to go shooting in a long-ass time  but I did load some Magpul dummy rounds in one of the mags for dry testing with my PTR-rebuilt C93 rifle. Loading is like any other ACU mag, retained the rounds fine. Didn't drop test or anything, this is a range toy. I replaced the original mag catch with a new German one, been meaning to do the paddle conversion but haven't gotten around to it, no other tweaks beyond that. The mag itself needs a pretty good slap to lock into the gun (bolt open or closed) given the tab and catch positions but I don't want to adjust them at all. Doesn't feel like the feed lips are dragging on the bolt or intruding in its path, cycling was smooth. It fed the dummies both from locked open via the HK slap and running the charging handle from closed. The proof will be in shooting but simple testing passes. Like I've said before, I'm a huge fan of ACU products with the sole exception of their MP5 mags which is probably particular to them being oversized in comparison to the PTR receivers all my 9mm clones wear. I got 8 of these, kinda want more, though I only have a pair of C93s, one of which I only really keep as a live donor for parts should the PTR built one break.Hot link to the mags. I have a transferable pack so I’ll see how they run in full auto with the C93. Full auto performance would be awesome to see!
