Im looking solely for a cosplay range toy I have an A2 stock and an AC Unity folder I’m not buying a $300 MKE that will still be less comfortable to shoot than my existing options There’s an archived thread where This $120 airsoft is recommended but they appear OOS and still $120 I guess my question is moreso “will it fit” and not so much the actual quality or durability $42 airsoft Omega clone: Attached File |

I have the VFC A3 stock, and a VFC solid stock for my full sized MP5. They are great. VFC makes a copy of the B&T collapsible stock for K sized guns that’s really nice also. I turned my last B&T/VFC stock into a brace. I’d like to SBR my gun now, so I went looking for another VFC stock. BUT… There are apparently tariffs on these parts now. Both the full sized and K sized stocks cost nearly $200 after shipping when I bought them last year. Now, when you add shipping your cost will be over $300. I was hoping somebody would import a few containers of these while they were “cheap” but it looks like that didn’t happen. The flashlight forend works great and is also airsoft. | Just buy an mke stock for $360. It’s much cheaper than a German mp5a3 stock. And it’s not that much more costly than an airport. |

It's not like there are a gazillion of them out there in civilian hands nor are there a ton of companies making parts for them. Limited market. Exactly. Also part of the phenomenon of cheap clones is that buyers of cheap guns also want cheap aftermarket stuff. Like airsoft parts for actual firearms. And complaints about paying $360 for an MKE stock vs $200 for an airsoft stock. The delta is small enough that I’ll choose the actual firearm part every single time. |

So there are some insane shipping rates on these? Several people talking $200 delivered… I just see the link saying $119 While the delta may not be huge (especially in the HK world) I see almost 3x for a MKE so it really gave me pause, especially for cosplay |

But it’s a real firearm. Just buy the real stock. Long after the price is paid you’ll be happy you got a real stock and won’t remember the nominal difference in price. |

With a bit of patience, you should be able to find an MKE A3 in the range of $250 or so. Well worth the relatively small premium over an airsoft A3. |

Durability? Functionality? Features? My datapoint: been shooting one VFC stock on a pair of POF (one fullsize, one SMGPK) SBRs since 2023. The POF-5 shoots primarily subsonic 147s with a can, and the SMGPK regular range ammo. Both of them mainly fast range shooting with FRTs. I'm not out doing AKOU push-up tests with it, or running over it with an SUV, or any other youtube-friendly destructive testing. It is a stock. It still works as a stock. Nothing has bent or broken. It is still as tight (or loose) as it was when originally purchased. Other than the brand name, I'm not sure I understand exactly what the criticism is. So can you articulate what the "not real" criticism is, specifically? |
| To throw something else into the mix over airsoft parts, the handguard on my 53 is an airsoft KAC clone rail because I'm not paying $700+ for a KAC rail. I also didn't know when I bought the gun whether I would enjoy it as much as I have, so my $60 gamble has paid off and I'll be getting something like the B&T handguard or MI to replace it at some point. If the cost were over $100 no doubt I would have just gone with the better quality, but I don't mind testing the waters before I spend real money on something. |

The stock apparently has not been told that it has a stigma. It hopes one day to grow up and become real stock. Attached File |

The site i was going to order from was in Taiwan (iirc), after i placed the order they emailed me a shipping & tariff quote before charging me. The quote was around $200 + the $120 for the stock. At the time Atlantic was sold out of mke a3 stocks but i got the in stock email about 1 week later. |

I have a VF3 stock, I got it when they were cheap and did an early review of materials. Its a well made stock. I have a real HK stock that I keep in reserve while this gets abused at the range. It never fails to work. I'm happy with it, but wouldn't pay more than the MKE. There are plenty of higher end airsoft stocks that can be used as replica stocks - the cost of shipping and importing is now the issue and there is probably a point where a quantity order helps break the cost of each item. Places like Evike could probably leverage that kind of quantity. |
