My 9mm experience is somewhat limited to pistols. My rifles are all chrome lined and/or CHF. So, not a real comparison. I recently purchased a factory new 9mm non-chromed barrel & it looks….rough. As in “Bubba done Dremeled….while drunk & stoned….” Yes, I’ve contacted the manufacturer & await their feedback, but by comparison to all my 9mm pistol barrels, it looks like crap. CHF & chrome rifle barrels are no comparison. I dropped a factory-new Federal HST 147gr into said chamber & it didn’t seat all the way; after I pressed it in, I had to pry it out with a plastic painting edge gadget that was nearby. So, my question is am I overly concerned about a 9mm chamber? Do they all look this rough? I don’t want to assemble a gun when the chamber looks like jammomatic central. Not going to post manufacturer until I hear from them. Since it’s a not small manufacturer, I wonder if they sub-contract items like this to some other manufacturer & don’t double-check their work. (?) Thoughts? |
