Is it worth getting an 870 ejector replaced? Do gunsmiths even have the parts to do it anymore? It looks like it was bent and then somewhat bent back to shape. I feel like it cycles hard and has locked up halfway back a couple times. Any recommendations on who and how much it should cost |

Yes, the 870 ejector & rivets (2) are still around & plenty of gunsmiths can still install. Bigger_Hammer

I just rolled into the house, turned on the computer and found this thread. You guys beat me to it, excellent thing about the forums here. Factory parts are far and few these days. If you can find the factory parts or a gunsmith has them in stock and you wish to keep it factory original, then it involves riveting the parts and tuning the spring, then refinishing the rivets and possibly the receiver. We teach how to do the factory replacement when we teach Armorer courses. When Remington went bankrupt for the 2nd time in 2020, most of the factory parts disappeared. So needing parts, I went to work in the machine shop, and redesigned some things which allowed me to make a stronger version that is screwed in. These can be obtained directly from us, Brownells and Midway both stock them as well. We released the 3.5" Super Magnum version last fall to take care of the hunters that like the longer 3.5" shells. We plan releasing a left hand and 20ga versions as well, hopefully soon. If people are looking for someone to do the removal and installation, we have a gunsmith that is happy to offer that service.
