Got this reply from ruger. Can anyone confirm if the 6901 serial numbers are compatible with a mag well change? “American Rifles with a dash in the serial number or that start with 6900 or 6901 are usually not compatible. However, if the rifle has an interchangeable magazine well, it would only be convertible to the AI Style magazine well. We cannot guarantee that it will work.” |

Called and ordered the magwell this morning for my rifle starting with the 691 serial number. The customer service rep already knew what it was for and which part it was. Looking forward to making the conversion. Here’s the part number from another thread on the topic. Rar magwell dba30453-fde |

We cannot guarantee that it will work.” For what it is worth I had a RAR 7.62x39 with a 6905 starting SN and I did the same thing, (I have 300 blk out and changed the magwell first to make sure). I purchased the AR magwell from Ruger CS. It dropped in like it should have and AR mags worked better than mini 14 mags. |

I already have several Mini-30 mags but have a Ton of AR-.39 mags and was wondering if its worth the upgrade. |

Tried calling customer svc but they’re closed for a week.it should work fine though according to the other people that have done it already. I’m still trying to find a mofo chassis from Indian creek for the rifle to see if that would work also. |

Got the mag well and can confirm that it feeds without any issues from duramags. Only additional thing you need to do is lightly dremel or file away a little plastic to help expose the mag release button on the new magwell. Edited to add. Got to test it out today at the range and can say for sure it works with 0 issues. Fed everything flawlessly with duramags. |
