New to the 50. Should I go for pulldown WC860 from Pat's at ~$20/lb OR buy new commercial H50BMG locally for $50/lb? Firearm: Serbu BFG-50A Bullets: Pulled/Blem M33 from American Reloading ($360/k delivered!) Brass: Once Fired LC 2019 (from said Serbu) Primers: Ginex 2025 Skill Level: Advanced Reloading of all centerfire rifle and pistol. I already use pulldown powders primarily and have a Garmin chrony. End Use: Destroy stuff and ding big gongs at 500 yds. |

When I had a BFG-50, I used pull down powder and the steel out to as far as 1000 yards didn't know the difference. If I hadn't lost access to the place where me and my pals used to shoot 50's, I would still have it.

220 grains of wc860 pulldown gets me 3 moa with LC 10 brass, M33's and CCI 35's with my AR50. Biggest problem with surplus powders is temperature sensitivity. Some days I can shoot one ragged hole....most other days....3 moa. I have used H50BMG and it is more stable but not economical for me since I'm using up my stock of virgin 867 I got for $6 per pound long ago. Use caution if you go above 220 with 860. I tried 225 and got over pressure signs galore. |

Are milsurp projos still available? Like AP, API, tracer, incendiary and spotter tracer? Of have the price on them gone through the roof? |

These are heavy enough that the whole sleave will slide out from gravity and go -everywhere-. My wife and I spent 40 minutes picking these up in the kitchen and living room so our 1 year old wouldn't find one and swallow it. |

Buy 2k of the GINEX and be done with it. I'm just getting started on projectiles. Got 1k of those American Reloading blems for $0.36/rd and picked up 100 API projectiles from GB. I did score 300 rds of genuine 2019 Lake City M33 ammo from an older fellow for $3/rd shipped. Got another 120 rds of PMC M33 for $4.50/rd locally |
