I have a Scorpion and GHM9 SBR and was looking to branch out to a 45 ACP SBR. I would use it for HD and fun. There aren't as many choices as in 9mm. What 45 ACP PCCs are available and which do you think are the best reliability and otherwise for a SBR? |

I have a UMP clone and a Gen3 Vector 45. They’re both great video game guns.  That said, the Vector is freaking amazing. I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did, but I absolutely love it. My teenage daughter even loves it and she really didn’t enjoy anything else. I want to get a 9mm one now too. Attached File Attached File |

One of my favorite guns is a CMMG Dissent in .45 acp SBR with a Rugged Obsidian suppressor. Uses Glock magazines, lots of fun to shoot, really quiet. Only drawback is Glock don’t make high capacity magazines and the aftermarket ones have been less than reliable. Attached File Also, there are definitely lower priced options. |

Fortunately, I haven’t had any reliability problems, and accuracy is OK, but I may have just been lucky as some people have had issues. They supposedly made changes to later production that fixed some of the issues. It’s a good looking gun and well made, but it seems a bit too complex for its own good IMHO. |

I've had a CMMG Banshee MkG for a long time now and really enjoy the ergonomics as well as the accuracy. With an Obsidian 45 in long configuration (I don't understand why the short configuration is loud on the MkG but more quiet on pistols, go figure) on it, its super quiet, clean and reliable. Mags are irritating. KCI and.... I can't think of the other ones that are just copies of KCI, are okay but fail pretty quickly and can't be brought back once they fail. I've never figured out what it is about them that fail but they all do. I was really impressed initially but they are all in the "Bad Mags" box now. Glock 45 13 round mags are flawless, and readily available but annoyingly only 13 rounds. They always work. I stopped counting after 2,500 rounds and the Glock mags and the gun are still just as reliable and accurate as day one. I do clean often. Its happy with 45ACP, 45 Super and 450SMC so very versatile. The 450SMC does have a very satisfying thump when it hits something. I chose the 8" barrel to get the most out of the round, yet keep a reasonably short firearm. Shorter barrels are more common. |

Some parts are crappy like the brace,grip and safety selector but they can be switched out easily. Palmetto has them for sale periodically around $530. |

The Macon Armory conversions, DI and Blowback, are both reliable and run on a standard lower with exceptional reliability. |

I'm really liking my Ruger LCC in .45 acp. 16" barrel but still compact. I put a CMMG 46K on the front. It goes with me whenever I head out in the desert. Attached File |

I've been wanting to play with a Stribog. I could do 10mm or 45. For a blowback gun that Gforce seems like a pretty decent value. I have both a Gen II Kriss Vector and CMMG Banshee in .45. The Vector 31-round magazines are ROCK solid and use the Glock OEM 12-rounders as their base. They run in my Banshee as well as they do the Vector (I’m just one of those guys who downloads magazines to one short of capacity). My Vector is a factory converted SBR after the barrel chop of my CRB/carbine from a vendor who allegedly specialized in doing exactly that went pear shaped. With the benefit of hindsight I should have either bought a factory SBR or Form 1’d a SDP. Whatever… I will tell you if your intention is to either suppress and/or FRT your PCC, in my (anecdotal, sample size of one) experience the Banshee is orders of magnitude better than what I experienced with the Vector (which I installed a Duality Arms RATLR in). With CMMG’s tuning kit, using the medium weight it runs flawlessly suppressed or unsuppressed, with standard or +P ammo. Installing a DTT/RBT FRT required no additional tuning requirements and it’s FRT ROF is very UMP like (which I have extensive trigger time on) at a very controllable 500-550-ish RPM. The can I’m currently used is a OSS/HUXWRX Rad .45 which I don’t run dedicated. https://cmmg.com/action-tuning-kit Being a HUGE fan of SD/ISR builds I would strongly consider this, drop in the FRT of your choice and call it a day! https://cmmg.com/sbr-suppressedzeroed-banshee-mkg-45-acp-6-5 |

| Another vote for the Banshee. Just Form 1-ed my 5” .45 ACP Banshee. I was using a Kynshot 5005 buffer and it suppressed well with an Obsidian 45. I went with an A5 tube and Kynshot 5007 for the SBR configuration based on Amphibian’s info. Haven’t shot it yet but not expecting issues. |
