| So today I indulged and bought a brand new Marlin 1895 SBL in 45-70. I’m starting to take a look at accessories and I was wondering how quiet these are with a can and subsonic ammo. Can anybody give me an idea if it’s worth the time to get a can? |

These, for me at least are a definite "go to gun" for suppressing. Meaning, Ya just gotta do it! Especially for a freight train of a cartridge. It's like doing a .22 for me, only opposite. Plus you can use that suppressor on (almost) literally every other gun you got! |

| Thank you for the replies. I’ll eventually get a can but I just put a Vortex scope on it today and went to the range. Man..I love this gun!!! I had a Henry X in 45/70 that I traded for this and there is NO comparison. This gun is one I’ll never sell. |
