Its a thick rubber band on the rear. Its a Slade tactical heat shield. It secures on the front with a clamp. Due to the pressure on the front using the clamp to keep it from slipping, the rear can lift up a little, so they include a thick rubber band for the rear. I got a black one and just spray painted it my preferred OD green color. You can't see the clamp because my surefire is covering it up. I've used it for awhile now, and haven't noticed it slipping a big deal. Its polymer and cheap and does its job well to protect my hand. I like to use the c grip over my handguard and barrel and even with gloves it got hot after awhile. Since adding the heat shield, it negates the heat completely when used with gloves. I'm just not sure the Imperium won't hold heat and end up being even hotter. |

This one on berelli is listed as OBHP-IC NON REMOVABLE . 1301. I'm pretty sure that model is a mod 1 though. On another note, going to the Rangemaster Defensive Shotgun Instructor class this weekend and plan on using my 1301, I'll let you all know how it goes. |

Cylinder will give a little bit more spread, IC would hit slightly harder with less spread (marginal). Tossup for me really. |

| I wish we could finally move past Velcro side saddles. They are a terrible choice in the rain. The Velcro cards are great for staging rounds quickly on the gun but after that first reload, I'm using my shell caddy anyways. I really wish someone would offer an aluminum or polymer side saddle that held 7-8 shells that was fixed to the gun so I don’t have to worry about Velcro coming loose because the gun got wet. |

Sorry, I've been super busy, The rangemaster class went well for most. All the 1301s there functioned flawlessly as far as I could tell. Adam (owner / founder of Aridus) was there and was a standup guy. He also had an a300 with the prototype Imperium on it which functioned well. He let me use a shotgun with his QD-C sidesaddle and I really liked it, I bought one for my 1301 on the way home. I had a friend with a stock a300 have a weird issue. The bolt release got very hard to push about 100 rounds in. Anyone else have that problem with an a300 or 1301? Thanks! |

Attached File It looks and feels good. Attached File The rear collar fit tight when installed, but seemed to open a bit when I tightened things down. Attached File The detent ball in the front collar really didn't feel like it was engaging very well, but the magazine extension did tighten up nicely. I absolutely will use the barrel clamp. The three MLok pieces fit nice, and there is no internal interference. Test firing soon, and I expect no issues. Jay |

Got mine put on too. My rear piece was loose but when tightening down everything its snug with no gaps. Little tricky getting on at first but I really like it. Lightweight, great grip feel, and looks fantastic Range test soon  " /> " /> " /> " />

I had mentioned it didn't ratchet when I put it on. Aridus asked me to send a picture of the front collar, but when I took it off, it ratcheted, and when I put it on, it ratcheted. I suspect putting the tube cover on caused the detent to release where it was supposed to. Just one of those things I suppose. I like it much more the the Zhukov / GGG barrel cover combo. Jay |

Will be joining the ranks soon. Back in November-December 2024 when beretta announced the issues with the 7+1 import, I had my boss order me one at my part time weekend job. I got the gray non pistol.grip version and was the last one at RSR. Pretty stoked he let me pay on it over the last 9 months so I finally get to pick it up in a couple weeks. Yes im poor right now after helene but I DESERVED THIS! What should I go ahead and order? |
