Question for the pros: I put together 3 loads for my 10” scar consisting of 62 grain bonded bear claw, 64 grain bonded bear claw and 55 grain gold dot after I was satisfied with the accuracy (3” or smaller at 100) I went into production with that ammo, every 100 rounds I’d test 5-10 rounds for accuracy until I loaded 2k of each round, all summer I sampled that ammo I between shooting quams and quams of fmj to practice with. The powder for that load was a Hodgdon extreme powder (temperate stable), I stopped shooting the scar around sept/oct, took it out 3-4 weeks ago to shoot some and with all 3 loads plus every factory load I had on hand (Hornady black, Hornady defensive stuff, Winchester 55gr match, 69 grain match, Hornady 75 grain interlocks) the scar is shooting like shit, 12” groups at best. Took the barrel out, cleaned it with some clr, kg copper solvent, then jb bore paste with some sea foam deep creep, went out again same thing, suppressor on or off sane groups. Tools the barrel out and muzzle break off cleaned again, checked crown and chamber no burrs or anything, reinstall barrel, torque nuts to 62 inch pounds go back out same trash groups. Installed a 3-18 bushnell scope zero at 50 get all the above ammo’s and same trash groups Out side of changing my gas jet I have checked it all, any ideas ? |

Yup as a matter of fact before I put the 3-18 scope on I had an eotech exps3-0 with 5x eotech magnifier and when I closed the lever in the eotech I thought “this is tighter then normal but 🤷🏻♂️ and it was pushed forward to the lug so it would not slide |

curious , what hodgdon powder are you using? extreme is a product line, not the powder does it start w/ an 'H'? or one of the other names what is your typical load? & what is it velocity? when i had a 16, it would easily get 2-3" groups at 100 yards w/ a pinned 14.5 barrel, using 55gr and much better groups using 69-77gr doubt a gas jet will help , seems something else is the issue |

Using only federal brass with a lite crimp, before my gun went haywire this load shot consistently with in my 3” combat acceptable standard. As a matter of fact I took the 64 grain bi fed bear claw and 55 gold dot hand loads to the range with a 6.75 barrel ar and an 11.5 and they shot with in that same 3” goal even though I strictly loaded and tested that ammo for my scar. Barrel screws all torqued to 62 inch pounds my gun is an rch gun fyi. Gun has about 1693 rounds on it so not high |

Ya some where up their I said I tightened my throw lever on my eotech I plugged the barrel and filled it with clr for 30 min that eats carbon like no one’s business then brushed then jb bore paste then deep creep then brushed 30 passes then repeat 2 more times |

How many rounds after that? I’m generally not a fan of bore scopes but I’d buy one in your circumstances. |

So I took the barrel out again, took out the gas jet and noticed the barrel port hole was 1/2 to 3/4 plugged with carbon so I got it unplugged and put a .062-.065 gas jet in (I have been running a .067-.069), since last trip the recoil was feeling a little heavy. I could not get the hot lock soft enough to remove my break and shoot it with no break but maybe I can tomorrow 🤷🏻♂️ |

Never really ever had to do more then 10-15 but 🤷🏻♂️ I am going out tomorrow so we will see, hopefully I can remove my break tomorrow |

Not the bear claws specifically, but the M80 pulls. I've considered getting into some of those bear claws though, glad to hear they do 3 MOA |

If I was relying on my 16S to get home, it would stay loaded with M855A1, not reloaded AR pulls. YMMV. |
