| As the title says, Trump announced 10% tariffs on China stating tomorrow. (He as announced 25% on Canada and Mexico). I’m curious what are all your thoughts on how this may impact the Chinese night vision products, specifically LAMs and Thermals |

People have warned about this potentially happening even before Trump was elected. One of the reasons I have stayed with US products. I'm very happy with my Armasight thermals. I really like the Jockey clip on. Same issues with NVD. I believe most "good" tubes are being restricted to gov. I don't know anything, except what I've seen in passing. |

Eh, 10% isn't that much in the realm of NV and Thermal. The U.S. products are all substantially more in cost than their Chinese counter parts and so I don't see 10% being enough to close the gap. For example, if the MSRP of an IRIS 3 goes from $900 to $990, I don't see that as causing anyone to go out and instead buy a $3.5K RAID Xe or MAWL. |

IDK, but this is the busiest Saturday we have had in a long while. Every order received either for a thermal or a Holosun IRIS.... Being as the first tariffs on Canada and Mexico were higher(25% IIRC) , I would guess that the tariffs on China will be stepped/gradual. I.e, they may not stop at 10% It's Trump, so who knows. |
