Would stove piping be a gas port? Or buffer issue? It has the standard/milspec CAR weight buffer. Mags worked fine before barrel change. |

I assume you changed from a longer barrel? Between the barrel length and gas port, you likely have a harsher gas system setup than before. I run H2 buffer on everything from 10.3 to 16" on 5.56. I'd start there. EDIT: My rifles are suppressed. Have no doubt they'd run fine without, though. |

I gotcha now. I thought the carrier was traveling too fast. What barrel and what ammo? Could be related to gas tube install or issue with port size or alignment itself. When you say XM I'm assuming it has an FSP which would likely be pre drilled and set in place from the factory. Not saying they couldn't be messed up, but they tend to mate correctly. Check over extractor condition. |
