Right on. I've had real good luck with UT switches of all sorts. Rocking out the Axons as of late. Bringing back the older thread is a NO GO but maybe we can carefully re-construct some info and leave out the contro stuff. I think the PEQ-15 stuff is kosh but the NGAL stuff might be better discussed as Chinese airsoft stuff over at the airsoft/milsim forum. |

I have a couple newer Somo ones with the 8 prefix serial number series. I don’t have a frame of reference as to how the old ones were constructed but these do seem to have some visible fibers in the housing material that reminds me of the real peq15 material. Anyways they’ve held up fine so far but I’m only using on 22lr. The turret feel isn’t consistent between them, but everything else is great. Illuminators are clean and at the widest setting they are pretty much perfect for how I like the illuminator spread. Lasers are co-aligned as well unlike some reports I’ve heard. I’m happy with them for the money even though I was incredibly skeptical of them before I got them in hand. |

I had an AXON on it at first, but the T-2 in an RSR mount sits pretty low and the 45deg angled button and surrounding plastic casing of the AXON almost completely obscured the sight picture, so a flat ModButton Lite went on instead. |
| Well I don’t have a N6A£, real or copy, but I think there is some advantage. Obviously we are waiting to see how they turn out. The Peq-15’s are pretty nice and are about half the price of what the other unit will be. New unit is aluminum anodized housing and appears to be a better build. Let’s see if that ends up being the case. |

I think that's a good move. I would like to see the lesson's learned applied to the one who shall not be named, (or SNBN?), but it would seem tracking that shit and applying it to the next model is not high on the to-do list. One thing I've learned from all this, things get hyped on FB a lot sooner than they are ready to go. And "Two Weeks" is Chinese for "I don't know when it will be ready, but some time in the future". If I was a betting man, I'd say some time next year you will finally see the SNBN. Maybe June? Until then, we can rock n roll with what we have. |

Am I allowed to share email correspondence with the manufacturer of a unit that we are all waiting on to ship? Turns out there was a slight programming issue with the PCB board and seems to think it will be corrected 'in a few days'. I got a video of the error, when switchings between AL-DL mode slowly the unit would shut down and have to power back up. Other than that, the unit looks great! Fingers crossed they finally ship in a week or so! |

This is a common problem with many Chinese LAMs I have tested. The switch is the weak point. For whatever reason, a good switch is hard to build. It will either not go into the next mode, or the previous mode stays on, along with the new mode. Especially if you hold the fire button down. I'm thinking it's best to confine this discussion to IS PEQ-15, vs SG PEQ-15. We can perhaps discuss the IS and SG "SNBN's" as Chinese airsoft kit, over in the airsoft/mil-sim forum . IS actually makes a very nice PEQ-15; it's just overshadowed by other stuff he makes. So it's a question of the SG-15 @ 259, vs the IS-15 @ 780. It's probably worth that, but then you're getting so close to his other model. |

As long as you were clear in the description as to what they are I think you will be fine. You could always contact an ee mod and ask. |

It actually shipped in MAY |

| IS has to be shittin bricks right now. If the SoMo unit turns out to be a duty grade device I’d imagine it will kill their sales. The likely hood of the SoMo being duty grade may not be great but they have improved the PEQ quite a bit lately. Who knows. Looks like we will find out soon enough. |
