I actually have 2 x VZ-61 SBRs and they both run rock solid in .32 ACP- total beasts. I picked up the .22 conversion upper (which apparently went up more than 2x in price?) and can't get more than a few rounds to fire before the mag deposits some extra rounds into the receiver and they get jammed up hard, right next to the barrel. Looking at the kit, the bolt is skeletonized in the extreme, and lacks the LRBHO that apparently even the .22 mags are designed for. Maybe my bolt velocity is too high with Federal Champion copper HP? The magazines needed some light sanding to get them to fully seat and for the mag release button to pop out, but they are zero wiggle and properly positioned, as designed. Any ideas? |

Mine does that occasionally, but if it's only 1 case I generally don't notice until I come home and clean it. I'd try SV ammo. Mine is threaded and both reliable and super quiet with CCI SV and Aguila subsonic. It could be bolt speed is too high and with the top ejection cases are getting caught coming out the opening. Are you using a stock? The extra support helps reliability versus shooting it like a pistol. |
