Had a student in another sport remind me how important follow thru is in archery.
I was stunned that I had never thought of it, but when I realized it, it came to me that follow thru may be more important in archery than most other sports.

The archer does NOT just drop the bow from their hands when they release the arrow ... so much is going on

Follow through is hard for a lot of people - everyone wants to see where the arrow went.

It’s actually easier to follow the arrow if you don’t drop the bow at the shot.

If you can't take the high road, occupy the high ground.

I keep watching the flight of the arrow through my sight and then drop the bow after the arrow has impacted the target.
