I struck a deal to trade, so I'll be acquiring a 2018 Bear Apocalypse crossbow.
I don't know much about them (other than now learning that they shoot "bolts", not "arrows"). I'm not sure if I'll even get to hunt with it this year, but I'm looking forward to expanding my season beyond the gun seasons. |

I got it last week.
The arrows (or bolts, whatever) are Easton, and he gave me a few extra with it. 
First two shots... I discovered I should not have started at 25 yards 
I hunted today and remembered why I didn't like hunting with my bow... because I had two deer and two coyotes well within rifle range and not within crossbow range

I went to a ground tent blind for crossbow. Took my Deer at 25 yards with a clean pass through. It went about 40yds, of course down a steep hill to the creek line, and died. It looked smaller from the blind than it did dragging it back up that hill.
