| Got a Genesis bow for the kids to use as they have outgrown the Bear archery cheap ones. They are whining for the rubber finger guards on the string which they got used to with the bear. I see that many places sell them, but Is there any way to put some on without having to unstrung the bow? Or maybe unstringing the bow is really easy? |

Nah they have to slide over the string so no choice but to find a way to undo the string or take it to a shop. If you DIY, there is a chance you can change the tune of the bow inadvertently since the ends are twisted to provide even pressure on the cam. My girlfriends bow was setup incorrectly and when drawn, the limb and cam were leaning pretty hard to 1 side. That said, why not get them a cheapo horsehair finger tab? Next level up would be a D loop and wrist release. |
