My Maitland Retribution VTR, 70/27 currently set at 62#. With the VTR speed cams like mine, IBO is around 335fps. With the 470gr arrows I'm shooting at my short draw length I'm not getting near that speed, but it's still plenty fast enough. Great center pivot design, quiet as a church mouse, balances like a dream. Apex Axim 4-pin sight Ripcord Code Red rest (to be replaced after the season with a Trophy Ridge Revolution) Apex MQX Nano quiver I've since added an Octane stabilizer a friend gave me. Harvest Time Archery HT-2 arrows FOBs arrow and FOB wraps by onestringer.com Red Feather Archery RazorHawk and German-Kinetics SilverFlame 125XL broadheads  And no, Rob did not copy the Invasion design. Maitland center pivot bows came out a year before the Invasion. |

Pic of my two bows, a Martin Howatt Hunter 55# recurve, and an Istvan Toth 40# Magyar Horse Bow from Seven Meadows Archery: I just received the Toth bow and haven't shot it yet. I've owned the Martin since the mid-90s but haven't shot it in years. I'm just getting back into archery and needed a lighter bow. The horse bow seemed really cool and had good reviews online. I'm looking forward to shooting it in a few days and posting a review in the Traditional forum. |

Both are set up with basically the same accessories. Armortech HD Pro 5 Pin .019 on mine, HD 4 Pin .019 on the Jewel. QAD Ultra Rest HDX's Ghost Quiver on mine and Fuse Archery Ventera on the Jewel NAP stabilizers TRU Ball Beast 2 releases We have 40 yards of range at home and shoot daily. |

A casual visit by the archery store on Tuesday ended me up with a new bow. 2012 Hoyt Vector 32. 28.5" @ 60 lbs with #3 Rocket cams.
ETA - New pics with final set-up: 
NAP Quiktune 3000 rest, HHA OL-5510 sight, 1/4" Tru-Peep, 8" Hunter Stokerized stabilizer, 2-piece fixed quiver with double gripper. This bow has me shooting at 40 yards like I used to shoot 20. |

Well this is my first bow and so far I like the heck out of it. I went one weekend and wasnt sure of anything and just wanted to shoot a bow, so the guy set me up with an assassin. I came home and did some research and went back a week later and shot the Mathews Heli-m, Hoyt carbon element, and the Bowtech insanity cpx.

I've picked up a few more bows since my post earlier in this thread. Samick SLB-II longbow, 50# at 28". Probably about 46# at my shorter draw.  A Chinese horsebow that I ordered from "handmadebow" on eBay and had shipped directly to me from Anhui, China. For a traditional bow it flings my Port Orford Cedar arrows fast. It's also 50# at 28".  Finally, I went to the darkside last night and got a bow with training wheels, a 60# 2012 Quest Rogue.  I shot this at 15 yards. Going from my trad bows to the Quest is like going from a flintlock musket to an AR-15 SPR. Holy cow.  |

Picked my new bow up this week. It's been a year coming but couldn't be happier!
Hoyt Carbon Spyder 30, 63 lb draw weight, 29 inch draw length Axcel Armortech Vision Sight, 5 pin QAD Ultra Rest HDX Fuse 8.5 inch Carbon Blade Stabilizer I'm currently shooting Goldtip Pro Hunters cut to 28 inches througuh it right now. Plan on buying some Easton carbon injexions in the summer. I have to pickup a tight spot quiver as well. |
