From the subject, you can tell I know zero about crossbows.

Is there such a thing as a crossbow that automatically reloads an arrow after firing? If so, can you make a recommendation?

My uncle had one that used CO2 to recock the string, but I forget what brand it was.

It was heavy as hell though

Oh god, I remember that movie, and the elf with the recurve shooting about 250 rpm.  Lol, 1980-84, what at time for movies.  Excalibur, Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Hawk the Slayer.
