I guess I'll be in the minority and say these look pretty nice. Reminds me of every issued rifle I've ever had. Were I to build a clone of an M-16A2 like I was issued when I first came in, or an M4 like I carried in Iraq and AFG, these would be the ones to get...it would just be a collector piece, not a hard use rifle so the "weathering" would never come if I wanted to do it the real way. I'm okay with being a poser, I stopped caring about that when I was an Iron Maiden T-shirt wearing 14 year old lol. |

If someone has a surplus upper kit, getting one of these lowers is atleast going to match. It always looks weird to me to see a weathered upper on a new lower. The battleworn thing got old and seemed to fade after a time. This looks a bit different. More natural. Or— you can just go use your rifle a lot and it will naturally look like this. |
