I ordered a few of the Sarco's a1 grips and they are too mottled for my taste. I remembered an old thread on how to restore bakelite ak magazines with ultra fine steel wool and mineral oil. It brought back a nice black luster that will fit black furniture better. I have tried polishing with mothers mag but it just made the furniture very shiny and accentuated the motteling. I have seen some pretty oxidized surplus furniture and this may help. It's not greasy feeling when you wipe the excess off and should last a while.
