I think ZeroTech was started in 2018 and are somehow linked to Tasco. They are an Australia company. Same with Apex, saw a shot show video a few years ago and forgot about them and now they pop up a lot when ZeroTech is mentioned. They both released a 1-4x variable prism. I feel like the ZeroTech is a bit more refined and fleshed out. They did two designs before releasing to the public. The first one was designed with the mount and tube of the optic all in one. Now it uses an Acog mount. Sightmark also has a 1-4 and out of the three, ZeroTech looks as if it was made to be its own entity. Alex and Sightmark look very similar. I also want some real world experience with ZeroTech and to hear of people using them. The only retailer I can find, or find that I trust, is Optics Planet. The 1-4 is on sale and with one of their coupons it brings the price down a lot more too. I’m tempted to order, but it’s still a good chunk of change to drop on an unknown. I thought I watched a video where someone says it’s either used or made for law enforcement, but I can’t confirm. Hopefully the YouTubers will get these in hand and give us some feedback. |

The problem here is Zerotech is just a name. Everything I see on their site is total Chinese trash. Even if you tell me it is made in the USA, it is trash. That said, they are an optics name with some ability to source quality Asian optics from LOW. They have partnered with Unknown Munitions. Zerotech connections and UM/form… providing the spec. So there is the ZT/UM/LOW 3-18x with the THLR reticle. It seems decent, but how many first world children have to be fed with every optic sold. I’m confused if this is a great deal like on par with Tract, but cheaper or if it is more like an Arken which to me is a good spec, but average optical performance….still a great aiming device. Well, the UM guys seem to continue to talk about having Nightforce on their personal rifles, so….you decide. |
