What id give to open my crate of Yugoslavian x39 and find it full of those.

No kidding. I'd like that or something similar as my "standard load"...
I wonder if my local indoor range will let me use that?

I discovered something interesting when testing the penetration of Russian 7.62x39mm API through wood. The incendiary mix in the front of the core would ignite on impact with the stacked boards, causing the projectile to become disrupted and tumble, reducing penetration to something like 4-6". Lead core and steel core ball would easily go through much more.

I suspect something similar inspired the Yugos to put the incendiary in the rear.
