So I have a Tac Sol AR .22 upper on a lower with the standard mil spec style trigger......... Looking at the Geissele Blemula G2S two stage trigger or the Larue MBT-2S Anyone have both or tried both ? If so, which on felt the best to ya? Thanks in Advance |

I have the LaRue MBT 2S in a CMMG/RTB dedicated 22 LR AR-15 and it has been gtg. I have a 16” CMMG dedicated AR-15 with a Geissele G2S and a 16” DPMS Gen 1 16” bull barrel dedicated AR-15 with the Geissele G2S. I still have two dedicated AR-15’s with CMMG pattern uppers with RRA NM triggers. Honestly all three two stage triggers are very similar in feel and I don’t notice any difference going from one 22 LR AR-15 to the next in regards to the trigger feel or use. The only downside to the Geissele G2S is you have to install an e clip but it is not difficult. I have many thousands of rounds on the Geissele and LaRue triggers with no issues. I don’t have a blem Geissele trigger group but I feel sure it is fine. Rock River Arms does not recommend or warrantee their National Match triggers for blow back AR-15’s. I got a RRA NM I used with my DPMS upper and it went bad pretty quickly. This was during a time when RRA NM had some lemons slip out. A hammer broke with a second RRA NM 22 LR AR-15. This was my most used 22 LR AR-15 and that RRA NM trigger had been shot over twenty years with many tens of thousand 22’s fired. I had a spare new Geissele G2S trigger in my spare parts and used it to replace the RRA NM. I started buying RRA NM triggers in the mid to late 90’s when there weren’t many enhanced AR-15 triggers on the market. I have several AR-15’s and try to keep a spare two stage trigger group in case I need a new trigger. I currently have a spare LaRue but I will buy either the Geissele G2S or LaRue MBT 2S when they are on sale for the best price. I don’t have a trigger scale to measure the different pull weights. I currently have a total of six AR-15’s in different calibers with RRA NM triggers. I have three AR-15’s with Geissele G2S triggers and three AR-15’s with La Rue MBT 2S triggers. |
