My Son bought this factory DD pdw with a folding brace. During the "a brace is an unregistered SBR" thing he removed the brace and buffer tube to avoid any legal issues. In multiple moves,he lost the parts. He is currently deployed and I would like to have it fixed for him when he returns. Can you pistol guys point me to what I need?? Thanks in advance.

PSA has a mother's day special on the SBA3 brace. This is my favorite and one of the most popular braces for AR pistols. If you are going to put the folding capability back you will need the other half of the folder and bolt carrier plug extension or replace the fold part your currently have with a complete unit. Otherwise you can remove the folding part that is there and just install a new receiver extension, castle nut, end plate, buffer spring and buffer, and brace of your choice. |

If OP does not know where the parts are he should just order an entire new folding assembly or drop the folding assembly all together and just attach a new receiver extension setup to the lower receiver. |

You're better off buying a new Law Folder or (doing like i did) going with a new complete PDW brace setup like the HBPDW https://dirtybirdusa.com/products/sb-tactical-hbpdw-5-56-pistol-stabilizing-brace-black/ currently on sale for less than the price of a Law Folder and it includes the brace, buffer, buffer tube and buffer spring. |

Your son is deployed. Ask nicely, and be willing to pay, and it would not surprise me if they made the parts available for you. They know your son buys their parts, sometimes loyalty does go both ways. Or simply purchase a new one, and take it apart too. Consider it a life lesson. Every time I relearn this life lesson, I eventually find the rest of the parts. The receiver half of the folder is already installed. If you could buy the rest of the parts, including the hinge pin, it would simplify restoring that weapon. DB |
