I feel like I'm relying too much on the Google "AI" here... I've learned enough about these top shelf lights in the last year to be dangerous (maybe literally) but clearly don't know it all. Modlite PLHv2: Just got one of these in the mail today. It appears pretty clear is is meant to work with the widest array of batteries: One 18350, one 18650, 2x CR123. Compatible with Surefire Pro/DF bodies in addition to Modlite DF bodies. Put the head right onto a Surefire 18650 body, lights right up no problems. Surefire: I have the following: KE2-DF: It came in a Surefire 18650 package. Google says it can also work with an 18350, so it seems it should have the same broad compatibility as the Modlite. Does that sound right or wrong? It threads on fine to the Modlite 18350 body, but I have not tried to power it in that configuration yet. KF1-A-DFT - Came in a Surefire 18350 package KF2-A-DFT - Came in a Surefire 18650 package Depending on the wording you use, Google says either 1) The two Surefire KF heads are fully interchangeable, or 2) there are power input differences between them. I don't have to swap the surefires back and forth, but it would be nice to know what I can do without damaging anything. There must be some difference between them; why else would they be marked differently? TIA |

| From my understanding the SF dual fuel heads will work with the SF body they came with if you want to use the CR123s or the 18650. If you want to use an 18350 you will need the smaller 18350 body from Modlite, or similar. I have used the SF DF body with a Modlite PLH v2 head as well. |

They are all the same and all swap around no problem. If you run 18350 you can't use 1x123 cell in place of the 18350... but you can run a high discharge 16340... but why would you? Why would you run 123 cells in an 18650 tube for that matter? Pointless. Useless. At least here in Texas. |
