I seem to remember the seller said this is a JP Speedhammer and trigger. I would date the rifle it came out of in the mid 90's. Does this look like a JP? It is a large pin version out of a Colt. I want to put it on the EE and be accurate with my description. Thanks in advance.

OP, your disconnector is a Colt / Schmid Tool component. Your hammer appears to be modded (possibly?). I have milled the hook portion off several for friends that wanted a low mass hammer. Any markings on the hammer? Does your trigger have these flats in the picture below? Every modern Colt trigger that I've seen is cast like this.

Trigger looks like one of the older M marked ones. I doubt it would have the flats like the newer ones cast by a different company. I think the M ones may have been done by Milwaukee Precision. They show the parts just not in a group in the Colt repair manual. |

Thanks for the info. This came out of a Colt Hbar carbine I traded for a while back. To date it, the BCG carrier is the completely open wound type, not an AR cut or M16. The lower has the high shelf web sear block rather than the hardened sear block insert. It is an LE restricted marked lower. I had no idea Colt sold upgraded FCGs. It does appear to be a dull nickel plating. I might just keep it now.
