It hadn't been off since I got the Daniel Defense barrel during the Sandy Hook panic. It's been through lots of hot/cold cycles, but wasn't thread locked or cross-threaded. I took it off just now and it was quite a fight but the new silencer (Canik Void) needed to go there so I didn't have a choice. Christ! That thing fought me until the last couple turns. When I picked it up it was toasty warm, almost too hot to hold. Do muzzle devices always try to fuse themselves to the barrel when they aren't removed periodically? |

For a regular A2 or similar flash hider, the "correct" grease is called AeroShell 33MS / 64. However, if you are installing a muzzle device for a suppressor (I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned) you want it to be timed with steel shim(s) if necessary, and secured with Rocksett. This will be much harder to remove than a normal flash hider, by design. |

It is great for spark plugs and others like my cans adapers. I never had any issues from removing FH or muzzle device. On my next build, I should use it on the next muzzle device. |
