What are your thoughts on this scope? It has the 1 min elevation adjustments and 1/2 min windage adjustments. Reticle is the mildot non-illuminated. I have the opportunity to get a like new in the box example at what I think is a pretty decent price.

What is a decent price for one?

What do you think of yours if you have one?

Are you looking at this for a clone build or just a general use optic?

I had one for years - was using it on my 308 to hunt deer.

Sold it for $700 last year after I upgraded to a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42.

Gained about 10 minutes of shooting time at dusk with the Nightforce - that said the Leupold was a trustworthy scope.

Pretty sure I paid near 1k and it was tier one, back then.

I revisited my old one recently, on an sfar.  Still good stuff, but I gotta say the Chinese? (Not sure) griffin 1x10 I recently bought has better glass.  Still, the LR/T would be a good buy at the right price.

Possibly the 34mm tube on the griffin makes the difference? Idk.

I probably would buy at 500.  Maybe 6 if I really wanted one.  We have so many new optics that are just plain better.
If he bought new he probably paid about 900.

There was a time when a Mk4 was a good, reliable, scope, that was used on duty guns everywhere. It has been left behind by more modern technology. If you want a retro gun, or if you still think it’s 1995, a Mk4 is a good scope. If you want matched turrets, smart reticles, FFP, or any modern features, you’ll have to look elsewhere. The prices seem to be between $600-$1000, depending on the exact model.

Heavy and long. The one I owned made a trip back to Leupold. The elevation did not work properly. It would run out of elevation on any mount or ring combo.  I had no faith in it after that.

Asking price is $600 with a set of Leupold steel rings and Leupold Alumacaps. Factory box and all documents from Leupold.

The mark 4's I bought from Leupold had quarter minute elevation adjustments...I wonder if you are looking at a fake Mark 4?

M3 dials are 1 MOA.

$600, with rings is a no brainer.

I forgot about those caps.  Magnetic closure and a hundred bucks, back then.

There are much more modern choices that would serve you better. Mil dot reticle and MoA turrets are very outdated. For a similar but more updated scope check out the Credo 2-10.

$600 with M3 knobs? Even if you don't want it you can flip it and make an easy $100-$200 listing it om M14forum.....

Buy it, sell it to someone who needs it for a GWOT era clone rifle and pocket 2X what you paid - then buy a good modern scope with the proceeds.

I got it but not to resale. It was from a buddy so I would not do that. He also gave me a 2.5-8 MR/T with M2 knobs also with the 168 turrets. Anyone have a 77, 75 or 55gr turret to sale?

I got both scopes for $500 for the pair. I put the 2.5-8  MR/T on my 12.5 SBR.

That is a smoking deal. The cloners have pushed the prices up on them to points it is annoying. If it is the 30MM main tube model then I have one that is the same or nearly so. I love it. Yes it is heavy and long and it would be better if it was MIL/MIL but I still like it and find it works for me very well.

At that price I already would have bought it. If you buy it and don't like it let me know and I will buy it from you.

Yeah they never sold as many back in the day as the 3.5-10x and the cloners pay loony prices for them!

I decided to go with something more modern and tried to give them back. He asked me to sale them for him instead. They are now posted in the EE.
