I think I’m pretty much done with my dedicated AR22. I have just a little tweaking to do with the ambi bolt release and it’ll be 100%.

Nordic Components uppers get good reviews and are reported to be accurate barrels. I have numerous Black Dog Machine magazines of various capacities and generations. I also have a few CMMG magazines. I have also bought a few of the magazines sold by Arms Unlimited. These magazines are the same pattern as my old gray CMMG mags but cheaper. I’ve read the Kriss mags are good and work with the JP bolt catch for a fully functional bolt catch. I’ve been shooting 22 LR in AR-15’s since the late 90’s and don’t mind the bolt hold open follower magazines. I rarely shoot on a public range and almost exclusively shoot on private property where I don’t need a fully functional bolt catch. I shoot 22 LR AR-15’s more than any other long gun. I have several steel targets I shoot regularly with my 22 rimfire pistols and rifles. |

Another magazine I have had good luck with is the Chiappa M4 22 magazine. They have the loading button and for me have run flawlessly on full auto. But, I don't know about last round bolt hold open.
