Taurus released a new roller delayed 9mm PCC, the RPC - it looks really good and is at a competitive price point. It looks like a great FRT host… it even comes with two locking pieces. https://www.taurususa.com/firearms/pdw/rpc/ |

Maybe a little less expensive than its existing counterparts. Proprietary mags was not the smartest move. FRT = fun/cheap fun to “burn down”. |

Unfortunately I doubt that will be possible given that the FCG is the firearm. If you buy a new lower it would still be using that FCG, and not an AR one. That means you would need to make a new trigger system just for the RPC rather than adapting it to use AR triggers/safeties which is the easy button for any other design. Plus you would be paying an extra $300++ to improve a Taurus, while adding the tolerance stack of that new lower onto Taurus' already questionable tolerances. |

I suppose there is a chance someone will figure out a drop-in device or develop a forced reset FCU that could be sold as the serialized part, but sales of the RPC would have to be substantial to justify the effort and MP5s are cheap enough now to keep downward pressure on the Taurus. |

The hammer looks a bit shorter but that might be an illusion. |
