Steel, $10.99. Don't know anything about them, but may try a couple.

"Mora Arms T-M16A1: Introducing the Mora Arms T-M16A1 — a dependable 20-round M16A1-style magazine built for shooters who demand classic style and modern reliability. Constructed from durable steel and made in Taiwan, these magazines have been rigorously tested over several months and have proven to deliver consistent, reliable performance."

Interesting. In for info as I’ve not seen these around yet.

I ordered a few at that price - they look retro - but steel (not sure if stainless) but it has a silver finish on it I'm curious.

I have some old Taiwan steel blued 30 rounders around somewhere too - good mags.

Hmmm....Might be good to make some prototype 25rd mags with.

I got my three today.  Look okay.

They are new or like new -with a Classic Firearms sealed plastic sleeve.
They are made of aluminum (not steel as advertised & non magnetic) and rigid body that is painted silvery gray color, black metal base-plate, plastic follower.  The finish is like a paint - not like the USGI silver metallic coating found on USGI 20rd mags of Vietnam era etc.
There are no markings of any kind that I can see on them - Seems good for the money.

I will try to give them a whirl - Seems like a small retro score.

Got my two mags recently. First of all, as already noted they aren't steel. Aluminum with plastic followers.

Here they are compared to a Brownells 20 and two old GI 20s, one Adventureline and one Simmonds.

And your point? The originals also had metal followers which these and the Brownells don't have. They're not being sold as exact clones of the originals.

From the description:

On the Taiwanese mags the middle ribs on the side don't go all the way down, just like the originals. The Brownells middle rib goes all the way to the baseplate.

Didn't straight 20 rounders made subsequent to the ones with the metal followers have polymer followers that weren't anti-tilt?

I'm surprised no one is making straight 20 rounders with metal, non anti-tilt followers. My hunch is they would sell a lot.

Umm, how does an anti-tilt follower in a straight 20 round mag make it MORE reliable?

I have the same hunch.  Was tilting a problem with the original 20s?

I took mine to the range this past weekend.  They worked as expected.

Classic Arms mis-stated some details, as is almost SOP for retailers to cut and paste and embed misinfo these days- but still happy with the mags for the $10 price point.  They look retro and can beat on these vs the originals I have.

No need for anti tilt followers in straight mags.

Anybody pull a follower and confirm/ deny on these?

I have no idea. Just quoting the manufacturer/distributor. It's $10.99 and if it works properly that's all I care about.

I bought 15 of these magazines, and they are most impressive!
The quality of construction was quite the surprise. They have a
greenish hue and IMHO too, is that they are aluminum.
I haven't loaded them as yet, but hopefully I can put a few
through their paces soon.

I've read a handful of complaints online.

A friend of mine has a few dozen in rotation and swears by them. No personal experience on my end other than being a bystander with him at the range while shooting.  I haven't seen him have issues thus far.

Probably not - I kind of think that that is a picture of a polymer/plastic follower and it is "For" Aluminum 20 round magazines - not "made of" aluminum.  Kind of hard to tell - Masen has made some good things and sold some neat surplus over the years but he isn't the highest quality manufacturer.

Received mine today.

Not overly impressed.

Seem kinda cheap and flimsy to be honest.  Body appears to be one piece that obviously was bent or pressed around a mandrel or jig.

5 spot welds down the seam.

Floor plate seems flimsy, flexes and bends under medium finger pressure.  Walls/sides seem to flex under light/medium finger pressure between thumb and forefinger.

We have re-qual on the 6th, I'll try to see how they do.  I hope they surprise me, but im not expecting much.

While different in their construction method, my Taiwanese 20’s don’t feel different in “sturdiness” than my Okay 20’s.

IMO, they are just like my Colts, but lighter.  I suspect that is the difference between the plastic follower and the cast follower.  The floor plate might be a little thinner.

I haven't used them yet.  They may fall apart.  We'll see.

Twenty rounders won't function with a anti tilt follower that's in a thirty rounder. It has to tilt a little to make up for the taper of the shell casing.

Just in case anybody is still interested, I bought six of these about 3 months ago. I took them to the range today, and ran 120 rounds thru the A2. No problems with them. I did.  And CMMG's own description of their brilliant rotary delayed blowback system says it locks, which it doesn't.  And HK parts sells "locking" rollers which don't lock.  Hence my question.

Sorry, been busy trying to figure this out, Atlantic Firearms is confirmed and so is War Pig Armory.

Still waiting to hear from Classic, and we pumped out a bunch of samples to various retailers/distributors (probably every major retailer/distributor). People love the products, but getting companies to stock them has been difficult.

Bought two. While using a screwdriver shaft in the hole in the floor plate to lever it off it bent slightly. Much eaiser than expected. While bending it back I could hear the metal bending. Very cheaply made I think with cheap materials. Ill take these to the range tomorrow to shoot with FRT and report back. Follower is not anti tilt and similar in shape to the original metal follower.
